Leviticus 10 : Sin of Nadab and Abihu
Aaron's sons Nadab and Abihu presented offering to God when it was not necessary. God sends a fire and both of them get consumed by it. God tells Moses that anyone who serves in the altar must respect God's holiness.
Moses asks the cousins to carry away the ashes of Nadab and Abihu. He orders the cousins and relatives not to mourn their death but tells that other people can mourn.
Rules for priests
- Do not enter after drinking wine or beer.
- Distinguish between what is God's and not.
- Distinguish between ritually clean and unclean.
- Teach the laws to the people of Israel.
- Eat sin offering in the holy place.
