Exodus 90 : Setting up and dedicating the Tent of the Lord's Presence
After all the work has been done, the tent is set up. This chapter explains about how and when it was done.
Moses does everything as the Lord had commanded. On the first day of the first month of the second year after they left Egypt, the Tent of the Lord's presence is set up. He sets up the tent, takes the tablets containing Ten Commandments and places them in the covenant box and covers it. He puts a curtain in front of it so that it is sealed from the rest of the tent. He puts table in the tent on the north side outside the curtain and placed on it, the bread offered to the Lord. He puts the lamp-stand in the tent on the south side opposite the table and lit the lamps. He puts the gold altar in front of the curtain and burns the sweet smelling incense. He hangs a curtain at the entrance of the tent and there, he places the altar for burnt offerings. On it he sacrifices the burnt offering and grain offering. He puts the wash basis between the tent and the altar and fills it with water. Moses, Aaron and his sons washed their hands and feet whenever they went into the altar. Moses finishes all the work as God had commanded.
Then a cloud covers the tent and dazzling light of God's presence fills us. After that Israelites moved their camp only when the cloud lifted up from the tent.
