Leviticus 12 : Purification of Women after childbirth
If a woman gives birth to a son, she is ritually unclean for 7 days.
On the 8th day, the child should be circumcised. She will be ritually clean after 33 more days.
Total 40.
If a woman give birth to a daughter, she is ritually unclean for 14 days. She will be ritually unclean for 66 more days from the loss of blood.
Total 80.
When the time of purification is complete, she should bring a one-year-old lamb (if lamb cannot be afforded, then a pigeon) as a burnt offering to the priest.
