Exodus 16 : God gives Manna to Israelites
The Israelites walked and came to the desert of Sin. They see desert everywhere and do not find any food. While they are starving, they complain to Moses. They cry that they might die in the desert. Moses prays to God.
God rains food from the next day. God also gives instructions about how the food should be stored and eaten. Every person is to taken only that is necessary from his/her family for that day. If they store for the next day, it would get spoilt. On the 6th day, they should gather for 2 days so that they do not have to gather food on the Sabbath.
People are very happy to get food every day. They call it 'Manna'. Some try to store it for next day but it develops worms. God rebukes people for not being fully obedient.
