Exodus 6 : God promises deliverace
God tells Moses that he will force king to set the Israelites free. God says that he will abide by the covenant that he had made with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
Moses tells this to Israelites but they don't listen to him. They have become bitter and have already been crushed in spirit.
Next section is about genealogy of Jacob's sons. Writing down Levi's descendants below.
Levi's sons -> Gershon, Kohath, and Merari;
Kohath's sons -> Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel.
Aaron and Moses were Amram's sons.
I think this is the first instance where it is clearly said that Aaron is Moses's brother.
